Syracuse, RPI or WPI for Computer Science?

Hey! After a busy application season, I’m looking at attending either Syracuse U, RPI or WPI. I was wondering what people though were the pros/cons of each university. As of right now I’m not concerned about money, just the experience. Also I plan on going to a top grad school after graduating, so I’m a bit concerned obout what kinds of opportunities are offered at each school.

Can anyone help me with this list? Thanks!

Syracuse:
Pros:
Great school spirit/experience
Small department
Can get to know profs

Cons:
Not as reputable for CS as RPI/Possibly worse CS education.
Maybe too much of a party scene, (as in there isn’t too many academics attending.)

RPI:
Pros:
Great education.
Almost guaranteed a great job after graduation/can get into any grad school
Lots of smart people attending
Can Minor in game design

Cons:
Troy
Girl/guy ratio
Maybe not as fun as Syracuse/not as many opportunities to have fun.

WPI:
Pros:
Good education
Can easy get a great job
4 term schedule

Cons:
Girl/guy ratio
REALLY small
Not very grad school oriented

Does anyone have any experience with these schools?

You need to be concerned about money, especially if you want to go on to grad school. What will be the costs of each school and what can you/your parents afford?

Syracuse would be around $25,000 which is doable without loans.

WPI is $35,000 which is not so doable.

And I don’t know what RPI is yet. However, from what I can tell it will be between the two others, (although I don’t want to speculate too much.)

The $25,000 is right on the edge of what my family can afford with my college savings. That said, I expect for my family contribution to go down because my brother is entering college next year.

WPI is a very good school. I know a guy who goes there and loves it. Worcester isn’t the best city in the world but it is still a big city in MA with loads of opportunities.
