Hey iMac15... I would recommend you take this question to the Syracuse University forum. You'll probably get more of a response from more people who know the school (or attend it) on there.

Thanks littleathiest, I posted it there too. And fromthesouth, this is an important reason for me. lol, from looking at your recent posts and how you plan to live in NY. You better realize diversity is important. LOL, get over yourself

This is a pretty big deal for me as well... I simply cannot imagine going to a school where people from different cultures and/or socioeconomic backgrounds don't interact.

Well, there are plenty of international students at Syracuse, but they are mostly grad. students. Hate to break it to you, but SU has a LOT of Long Island/New Jersey residents...hate to say this since it's so "un-PC", but as my friends and I would describe it- it's a very jappy school. However, since it's such a large university, you'll have a diverse group of friends by virtue of different personalities.

Thanks Char, I come from a school where people might self segregate, but not to the extent where it's horrible.

I just want to make sure that the school I go to doesn't have a large group of people where the only Hispanic person they met was their cleaning lady, however un-pc that sounds, which it totally is.

thats complete bull. I see all types of people interacting with all other types of people....the only problem is: maybe 10% consists of white snotty prerry kids who think they are better than everyone...other than that, its very diverse
