@mikeegidio You’re right. My bad. But transferring in at the start of Sophomore year is one, extremely stressful as you have to make up two semesters of work, and B, very competitive to be accepted as it is based only on slots not filled.

Wait, nevermind about what I just posted. I just checked and the documents are no longer missing.

@cuse1234 would you mind sharing what kind of applicant you were? Test scores and grades? I submitted an ACT of 28, multiple EC with strong leadership roles, all honors with APs, mix of As and Bs. My GPA is around 4.1 or 4.2 weighted. I had an interview and got a bunch of recommendation letters. I’m a little wearisome with the acceptance being so low so I’d love to hear what other candidates and freshmen were like!

I don’t think a single thing has stressed me out more than hearing someone with your stats being scared of getting denied from Whitman my GPA is a full point below yours and my ACT is a point below yours @avareneeee :-SS

@RachelN98 I feel you, im pretty much in the same boat with a 90 gpa (school doesn’t do 4.0 scale) with a 1260 sat. so when I see that they are worried about their scores it stresses me out too

The ED acceptance rate is like 26%… Around 110 out of 400 kids usually I was told

Current SU student, we got our answers Friday the 18th, so you’ll probably be hearing back Friday. International students will get an email from DHL saying they have a package on the way during the day before the emails come out, so watch out for that. I was accepted Whitman Newhouse if you all have any questions, good luck, I remember how nervous I was too.

Are ACT/SAT scores crucial ? I’m not the best taker, but I heard SU leans towards looking at the whole student in general.

chances of hearing back today??

@avareneeee I went to a top fifty high school in the nation but I was a strange case as I had a pretty low GPA for Whitman (3.3 unweighted) due to the fact I was running a profitable business all through high school which took up most of my time. Interviewed and they were well aware of my circumstances (Obviously the business was what got me in, not my GPA really). 29 ACT, and a good amount of ECs. It also depends on what you selected for your major, I was EEE. You should be 100% fine with your stats if I had to guess.

To be honest I think any day now is a good chance for decisions to go out @Nicwalk

I’m so nervous the decision is only two or three days away

Yeah I doubt we hear today or tomorrow. Even Thursday seems to be a stretch. My bet is Friday. How do they do waves? By how early you got it in?

@cuse1234 what is the process like to change your major within Whitman school of business? I applied with finance but am leaning more towards marketing management now, or perhaps double majoring in both

@cuse1234 also what is the process like if I wanted to double major with marketing and a major in communications? Is it difficult or doable? They seem to recommend that double major a lot, but that degree would still come from the Whitman school, correct?

Omg look it doesn’t just say spring anymore

You got that email today? Decisions are out? I didn’t get an email

@deshieldsdeer I’m freaking out! What does that mean? Why does it say congrats to all 2017 admits? Did people hear already?
