I sent them my CSS, my FAFSA, and connected my FAFSA to the IRS, but they still needed me to send scanned signed copies of my dad’s tax returns for 2015, for whatever reason. I guess because my FAFSA has some odd numbers and they just want to confirm I wasn’t understating or overstating or something.
Also, for those worried, Syracuse website says that typically students who applied ED1 receive notification prior to January 1st. If they close for Christmas around the 23rd, we’ll all know between now and then. Man, that’s scary to think about.
i just want the admission application form an just be activated already but, i also which we was able to post our acceptance letters on here when we get it
I’ve been reading the old ED threads anxiously and apparently in 2014 people heard back as early as Friday December 5th… is Friday a typical day? Because a cool reminder that today is the 5th. I doubt we’ll be hearing but I’m just very nervous because I’m at the low end of the spectrum of odds to get in so I just really want to hear so I can know.
@RachelN98 It’s usually a Friday because they are closed saturday and sunday so no one can call them about their decisions until Monday. Hopefully we get our decisions this friday or next so those who aren’t so lucky can start sending in other apps.
im thinking that some of us are gunna get acceptances this friday the 9th then there should be another wave on the 16th. but honestly it could be tomorrow for all we know they could throw a curve ball at us. I JUST WANT TO KNOW!!!
I want to stay at either Day hall or at the BBB (Brewster, Boland & Brockway Halls). I like Shaw Hall but hate how close it is to frat houses (I do enjoy sleep personally), I love Lawrinson hall but I’m I’m a little thrown off by the fact it’s practically off campus and off campus surrounding Syracuse freaked me out a bit when I visited (literally was a police involved shooting a block or two off of campus when I visited lol nice). I really recommend for everyone trying to distract from waiting to go look up all the stuff students need to figure out, one of which I LOVE is the dailyorange article weighing the pros and cons of all the freshman dorms.
Reading that the decisions could be coming out this Friday, just really adds too much stress to my life. I wish I didn’t have to wait (the worst part).
@mahoney5287 I know! Every night for the past 3 nights, I’ve gone to bed contemplating my application and whether or not I’ll get accepted. And then I dream about it and then wake up still thinking about it. And throughout the day, I’ll check MySlice several times, even though I know nothing is going to change until Friday. I’m kind of going crazy.
No, but I think the form will change. From reading the past threads, I’ve discovered that, If your form doesn’t update, it’s an indicator that you’ve been rejected.
@jitterbugperfume Honestly. I’ll have a day stressing about it, but then go a few days not thinking about. And to be honest, those few days are just so refreshing and relaxing. Then the cycle just repeats. I mean they send an email which is good because we won’t have to keep checking but then seeing a new email pop up is terrible because you think it’s Syracuse, but its only spam.
Beneath “Applicant Services,” there’s the “Admission Acceptance Form.” Right now, nothing happens when you click on it, but I guess it will change on Friday for those who have been accepted. @abbytub
Thank you for applying for financial aid at Syracuse University. This email is to inform you that additional information is needed to complete your application and determine your financial aid eligibility.
I applied the first week in Oct. Any one else get this?
