does anyone know how soon the “admission acceptance form” changes before you get in? Let’s say I get in on Friday and I get an email later on in the day, will I be able to check to see if the form changes that morning?
hey everyone!!! im happy to be joining to convo, i need to talk to people who get it. i applied to Newhouse/CAS dual major (T/R/F & English) and im soooo nervous! crossing my fingers for everyone.
not tryna burst anyone’s bubble but my prediction is that we here back on the 16th. The Syracuse website says admissions notifications will start going out mid December.
The link that someone posted a couple of pages back says that notification will begin early December.
Hey guys, do you think I’ll get my ED decision on time if I didn’t apply for any financial aid? I was sure I wouldn’t get any.
On http://admissions.syr.edu/whoyouare/counselors/ it says notifications of ed acceptance begin early December but on http://admissions.syr.edu/apply/deadlinesguidance/ it says mid-December. Smh
I got that same financial aid email, so I was thinking that maybe you got accepted if you got one because why would they care about someones financial aid if they did’t get it. I am probably wrong and just trying to find a way to get my hopes up but you never know.
I got the email a few weeks ago and I was invited to a financial aid information session at Lubumbashi house but I couldn’t go. I hope it means good things are coming! I’m afraid to get my hopes up because that will only make it that much worse if I don’t get in
Oops I mean Lubin house… weird auto correct
Hey guys are you going to apply regular decision to any schools before decisions come out? Or wait until if you get rejected?
So far I’ve only applied to Rutgers and Penn State besides Syracuse because they had earlier deadlines. The rest of my deadlines are January or longer.
I believe the email saying additional information if required for financial aid is because Syracuse requires the CSS in addition to the FAFSA.
You will still get it your ED app on time even if you didn’t apply for aid because it is not required.
a decision on
I also got the CSS thing, but I called them so they know i couldn’t do the non custodial part and they just gave me a waiver for that.
@DanL05 but since the deadline was November 15 for the CSS and FAFSA for Syracuse, and you just did it? will it be counted with the ED batch or the Regular batch, for aid?
Ah, dont think so. I did it a while ago, and i read on previous threads that your financial check list doesnt affect your application.
@DanL05 ok right, no I’m saying if you get in, will it affect when you get an aid package, if you did the CSS after the 15th?
that i dont know
i hope it doesnt
