@windchime1 Admissions decisions are sent by email, not posted on the portal
Don’t be surprised if the email is sent later in the afternoon or evening. We got the decision from Pitt last Friday at 6 pm.
@oldschool93 I think it has to be before 5 because they close their offices at 5 every day
@a3l6s9 the emails are typically programmed to be batch sent from an email system so they can be scheduled at any time. At least for Pitt we were told a decision would come Friday or Saturday of last week and we got the email at 6 pm on Friday. I’ll bet the send emails at off hours so they don’t get bombarded with calls.
I really would like the office gives us an exact date, like exact 6:00pm of some Friday. It is just too stressful that we constantly check our emails and the staffs keep giving us ambiguous answers(soon, on its way, or the mid-march)

I must say, as a parent this is just as nerve wracking as it must be for students. Quite a different experience than applying to college almost 30 years when it was “send it and forget it” and running to the mailbox everyday to see if you got a “big” envelope in the mail. LOL
So true. Just reading some of the comments is upsetting.

I agree. It is very frustrating. We are in NY, but every school we applied in New York has been very painful. Why it has to be a big secret?? @mom2a99er @oldschool93 As a parent, it is so frustrating, I can only imagine how painful it is to the kids, well young people ;))

I’ve been lurking and lurking on this discussion every single friday and with every passing friday my frustration only grows. This is just infuriating
Can they just make an official statement like that they’ll all be released by April 1 or something. I at least need an end date. Just give me a date as to when it will be over please.
