@CathJR - I agree. This really is cruel. I suppose, April 1 is the real deadline, but let’s face it, no one really waits that long…
Well one of my college counselors said something like all colleges are required to release by April 1, but if you look at last year Syracuse let people know way past that. Also, is the admissions twitter likely to tweet before they’re released?
honestly Syracuse kinda just set themselves up for those repeated calls and emails about when decisions will go out… they shouldn’t have been so vague with the date. i get that they have thousands of apps, but still…
I just heard back from Fordham and another school, so I’m guessing many schools ate
I dont think having a lot of applications is an excuse. They have problems like this every year and sometimes people dont hear back until almost may. if a school like BU can release decisions in an effective manner, while having 60,000 applicants, Syracuse should be able to as well. 
Last year most kids found out the 18th, not sure why this year is any different.
The 18th was a Friday last year…

I wonder how many excellent students Syracuse loses each year, as they accept other schools’ offers instead of waiting a ridiculous amount of time. It’s beyond ludicrous not to release decisions earlier.
