Syracuse vs. Binghamton:MS Accounting(Urgent)

HI guys, I got admited as a transfer student for the spring to both Syracuse and Binghamton, accounting program. I will have 3 more years at one of these two schools to get my MS accounting degree and take CPA.

I don't have many days to decide since the deadline for deposit is Dec 30th.
So please give me some advice. I really don't know which one I should choose.

After scholarship and financial aid, I need to pay approximately $8000 for everything including housing at syracuse university. Binghamton---$0.

I heard the accounting program at Binghamton has a very strong reputation, big four recruit at Bing heavily every year, and I have no pressure since I don't need to pay for anything.

However, Syracuse as a private school, and SOM has a 42 ranking in the nation, might give me a even better service and education. And I think I will get more scholarship in the second semester there so forget the cost.

So the most important part is which school has a stronger reputation in MS accounting and will give me a better oppotunity to get good interships and jobs in the future?

Please give me some advice, I will really appreciate it. Thank you and have a great holiday!

In my opinion, Binghamton is a much stronger school overall.

well i dunno about the specific program but syracuse is the stronger school overall. it's ranked 50th in the nation. as for accounting, i dunno.

The ranking system you're most probably referring to is absolutely ridiculous. To say Syracuse is a better school than Binghamton is such an ignorant statement. As a whole, Binghamton towers over Syracuse and this difference is supported by the admission statistics.

^thanks for those stats. i did not know that. im glad you backed your statement up this time. im just reporting what i've seen online...lol. it's all subjective to me, i don't follow ranking. i was trying to provide the OP with a different outlook.

Uhmmmm....Binghamton towers over SU? I don't think so! What statistics are you looking at?
