Hi Guys!
I’ve gotten accepted into both Syracuse and Penn State Univ. Park as a psychology major on a premed track. I’ve received a scholarship and a grant from Syracuse which makes the cost of SU around $35,000 a year and the cost of Penn around $48,000 a year.
I won’t be able to visit Penn State but I will be visiting Syracuse this week. Any advice on which one to attend?
Thank you!!
To be nitpicky, it’s not Penn, it’s Penn State. Penn is the University of Pennsylvania.
You probably want to minimize spending so you can save money for med school, right? So follow the money.
What are your parents saying? how much can they pay each year?
They can pay for my college education in full. They have told me to go wherever I feel most comfortable but I’m not sure what is the better investment Syracuse or Penn State?
You’re in a tough spot-it’s very very difficult to pick a school when you can’t visit one of the two choices. I would strongly encourage you to clear your schedule and visit both.
You want to go where you will do very well in UG. If you only visit one school and like it there, and it is the lower cost school, I would advise to go to that school. You really do need to visit a school outside of very unusual circumstances.
