Syracuse vs Stony Brook?

Is SU or SUNY SBU better for Linguistics? Money will be an issue, but I won't receive full tuition/a majority of it, as far as I know (My parents wot tell me their income so I can't do price calculators). My plan is to get my bachelors in Linguistics, teac English abroad for a few years, and then come back to study Computational Linguistics in grad school. What other SUNY schools are as good/better for Linguistics than Stony Brook? What non SUNY schools are good for Linguistics? (Please keep schools in the Northeast or Mid Atlantic region, and I can't get into schools like MIT and HYP, so schools like that are out as well.)

If your parents won’t give you enough information to do the net price calculators, there is a very real possibility that you could get financially shut out because you would not be able to make an application list that is financially realistic.

Go to the financial aid and scholarships forum and see if any of the full tuition/ride merit scholarship schools listed in the sticky threads at the top have a worthwhile linguistics program and add such schools to your application list.
