Taft has an excellent summer program that’s available to those who’ve completed 7th grade.

i didn’t mean the WHOLE school was filled with people like that. It was hypothetical, but I do see myself as a non-braniac who is smart intellectually but it just doesn’t show though my grades b/c of lack of effort (too easy=no trying).

sorry excuse my dyslexia i actually drop words in my writing all the time
and i was rushed as well i had soccer practice and was about to leave

also i would like to add that i am in both ap classics and ap english lit as a sophomore and if you really think that i would care about my grammar and spelling on an online forum than you are either a parent or a pompous child, who thinks he knows everything just cause he has straight As there many things in life that are exceedingly more vital to a person’s life than grade-grubbing. please this is a forum not a classroom do not correct someone else’s grammar it is rather rude and inconsiderate of you

“…if you really think that i would care about my grammar and spelling on an online forum than you are either a…”

You mean ‘then’ not “than”.

IM DYSLEXIC god people only see what they what to
maybe you should learn how to read before you start commenting on other peoples grammar

Getting this thread back on track…Taft is actually in a really beautiful part of CT, although the town isn’t much to speak of. The interconnected buildings have to be a real plus in the winter. My D is also applying to PA and SPS where you’d definitely spend a lot of time slogging through the snow during the winter.

leanid, you should become an English teacher if you have not yet, and use your energy there. You seem addicted to proofreading others’ posts.

I toured taft a few months ago and gave it a B. i like it a lot more than choate, but it seemed realy… average. it didnt really seem like a prep school to me…

xxDaisyxx, what were your favorites?

Hcos,

I am sorry. It didn’t register that you were being sincere. Please accept my apologies.

Its fine that is really the place where my dyslexia shows unfortunately, you have no idea how many times i have to proof read my writing.

Taft campus was my favorite of the TSAO schools. The architecture is great and I like the way the buildings connect (especially for the Winter). Academically, Taft has a strong reputation placing a large percentage of students in Ivy League and top universities. Also, I hear the students have a good community and service focus.

Has anyone here received any sort of acknowledgement from Taft that the application has been received? Much obliged!

I did, in the form of a letter.

How recently did you receive the letter? They received the application and cashed the check almost three weeks ago.

Like a few days after I sent the letter. It was awhile ago. :/

Argh! Guess I"ll have to call them. Thanks!!!

no problem!
that’s probably a good idea.
