Hello, I am a 2nd year college student applying this fall to UCs. In my first year, I was enrolled at UCI, but due to personal and financial circumstances I withdrew and am doing my 2nd year at a CC with hopes to transfer back into a UC next fall.

I just have a quick question about whether I can TAG or not. I've read the TAG FAQ and still have a few questions concerning my eligibility, and was hoping if anyone in a similar situation or knows someone like me has any info about TAG in my case. I am planning to TAG to UC Davis under Applied Mathematics. So far I have a 3.87 cumulative GPA so I think I am in good standing to TAG, grade-wise. Just the other requirements that I'm not too entirely sure:
- 3.20-3.30 overall GPA (dependent upon major) - Ok here
- 30 UC-transferrable semester (45 quarter) units - I only started CC this summer and have done 6 semester units + 16 semester units I am taking right now. For sure I'll have 30 by spring, but for TAG purposes, do my UCI courses count toward that?

Anywho main thing is just yes/no if I am eligible for TAG. I am definitely going to see a counselor soon to ask about this, but I just wanted to get some background/advice first and maybe even raise relevant questions I could ask my counselor. Thanks!

Davis has a more restrictive set of conditions than most UCs, and they say
If you were not enrolled spring 2014 at a CCC then it looks like you may not be eligible for TAG. Other UCs just require Fall 2014 thru Spring 2015. But I’m not a UC admin, I can’t tell you what Davis will actually enforce.
