I'm currently a sophomore in a CC & plan on transferring this upcoming fall 2013. TAG applications are being accepted between Sept. 1-30. I read in the guidelines that you need to have at least 30 units to apply for TAG. I want to apply to UCI , but currently only have 26 transferable units. Is there any way I can still apply for TAG? What are my options? HELPPP D:

There’s no way you can apply for TAG, no. You can still apply for regular transfer admissions; it’s just not a guarantee then.

amarkov is right. What’s your GPA?

My GPA is currently a 3.50

Well, your GPA looks pretty solid for UCI, so I’d guess that you’d get in anyway assuming everything else is on order.

LAforlife: thank you! makes me feel a lot better :)

No problem. :)

Wouldn’t the OP need 60 units to transfer though?

@Insurance it might be 26 UC transferable units and 60 overall? Not too sure.

I think if you meet the 60 but not the 30 requirement you might sneak in but I’ve never heard of anyone transferring with less than 60 units period.

^You must meet all requirements for TAG to be approved.

@Insurance11

I’m assuming that OP will have 60 units by the end of Spring.

60 is by the end of spring. But in order to apply as TAG you need at least 30 units done.
