TAG GPA Computation Question

So I just added my classes to the TAG website and like it told me:
"List for all terms you have attempted or completed (including courses you repeated or in which you earned an F, I for incomplete, or W for withdrawal), regardless of grade, length of attendance or whether you think the courses will affect your chances for a TAG."

When I added all my classes my GPA was lower than the 3.1 I had calculated (which didn't include F's and D's because UC's don't count those for GPA right!?) is now a 2.8. A little confused, but basically the (lower) GPA it totaled for me isnt' going to be the final GPA (up to the Summer Sem 2010/Not counting Fall 2010/Spring 2011 Grades) they count for TAG eligibility cuz UC's don't count F's and D's for GPA Right??

Had a mini-freakout since I was sure that I had above a 3.0. Just want make sure.

Thanks.

well, I made up a class (got a F, and made it up) and the GPA shows as its supposed to. You made up those D and F right? If you did, on the TAG application, it shows something like (course repeated in XX semester 20xx) on both of the courses.

Just look at the GPA computed at the TAG application.

No, I haven’t repeated the class I got a D or F in. My only question is that even though the TAG wants you to add all courses you’ve taken regardless of UC transferability is it just giving me the GPA based on everything I listed (which includes the F and D I received) or the GPA that the admissions people count toward my TAG approval. I’m fine with the class I got a D in counting toward my units, but i’m only asking this question because of UC site never says anything about a D or F counting toward your GPA only about the D counting toward your units.

“A grade of D in a transferable course is acceptable and may be counted toward the number of transferable units you have completed.”

([University of California - Admissions](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/paths_to_adm/transfer/tr_adm_r/tr_adm_r_gpa.html))

They both still count in your GPA…just because you don’t get the credit for it (since you didn’t pass), doesn’t mean it’s not going to lower your gpa. Basically, the UCs DO count the F’s and D’s in your GPA. Why wouldn’t they?

Where did you get the info that UC’s don’t count D’s and F’s in their gpa? That makes no sense.
