<p>Is it possible to take Math 1B elsewhere, and still receive appropriate prerequisite fulfillment?</p>
<p>I want to apply to Haas, so I need a high GPA, but I am considering other majors / courses that require Math 1B.</p>
<p>Otherwise I will just take Math 16B at Berkeley, possibly next fall.</p>
<p>yep, since the last time i looked at the pre-reqs, it specifically says only either stats OR math must be taken at Berkeley. so you can take calc 2 at a cc and then just take stats here.</p>

<p>Are the rules you described specifically for haas? I would also need Math 1B / Calc 2 for other things, like some econ/math courses, or perhaps as a prereq for majors like CompSci or Math.</p>
