<p>any advice for taking a gap year? i'm rejected by my dream school Yale and wonna take a gap year. i am from mainland China.</p>

<p>Get work experience in your field, study up on foreign languages, and apply to more than just yale, because you probably won't get in next year, either. Reconcile yourself with attending a school that falls somewhere between yale and no college whatsoever (aka a gap year).</p>
