I wanna write about why I think studying at Notre Dame will help me achieve my goals but I don’t know if that’s okay to write under take a risk. My what excites you about notre dame is about the experience it provides (school spirit and faith) so this one will be different but should I find something different?
I would say it’s “okay” to do so, but I personally wouldn’t. The way I see it is that the “take a risk” essay is a place to talk about something that is nowhere else in your application and is something that most colleges don’t ask for. I was accepted EA and wrote about how I was glad my parents were divorced because it showed me their dedication to myself and my siblings by still working together to give us the best life possible (which was risky in my opinion because Catholic university). I didn’t put this in the “take a risk” essay; I put it in the essay about home, but I think it would have fit into “take a risk”. Unless you have something new and interesting for “take a risk”, I wouldn’t write for that.
Yeah I would actually take a risk!! Write about something that you thought would be a good essay, but maybe was a bit worried that it was too controversial, basic, (my friend wrote about his love for grilled cheese) etc.
@RosesAndPoses can I DM you ?
@a20171 definitely! I’d be happy to help
