Take a "W" to preserve my 4.0?

Hello, I'm wondering if I should withdraw from a class to keep my 4.0 because at the moment a class is really getting int he way of things. The problem I'm having is that I'm on my last semester at 15cr, and it really seems like these teachers know I have a 4.0 and want to break it. I don't know if that's me being seriously paranoid or not...

It's some hard-as-balls CC that makes things harder than they need to be. The class I'm taking is a statistics class which doesn't transfer to the University I want to attend. If I take a W, then all I need to graduate is a 4cr math or science elective. But, if I keep the class all I need to graduate is a 1cr math or science class (see the problem?). Try finding a 1cr math or science elective. I'd end up just grabbing another 4cr math or science anyway to fulfill what I'm trying to do!

The only predicament is that by withdrawing from this class I'd still have to pay for it. Right now I'm acing 2 of my classes, and probably getting around an A- or B+ in my physics class. Now, I think by dropping this annoying statistics class (I have a B+ in it) I can boost my physics grade.

The reason I want to drop my statistics class is because the teacher isn't very helpful, it's a very challenging 3cr class for too much effort, and the teacher keeps acting like she has better places to be. In fact, an adult raised his hand in class and she told him she wasn't going to answer his question, to bring it up with some girl named Amy (a tutor?). He didn't even get to ask his question!

Now, the way I see it, she doesn't like me and I don't like her. She's very picky when she grades my exams, and I could just take a 4cr online class over the summer that won't transfer but will probably be easier. Any suggestions? Because if I bring this up to the academic adviser, it's me VS my CC: with her rather wanting to break my 4.0 because business.

EDIT: One more thing and this is extremely important. This school grades on the points system, meaning it doesn't use percentages, it uses "points". For every class, there is a total point amount (1500 points) which is relatively standard. You can only lose roughly 50 points and you won't have an A anymore. There's absolutely NO way to get points back. The way you ace a class is by getting As. Sounds self-explanatory but it's not the same as percentages. That is the reason I want to drop early and not stick out the class.
