I have recently heard that Case will not take college classes that were taken during high school and used to meet high school grad requirements. If I take college dual enrollment classes during high school (AND) 'use them to satisfy high school graduation requirements,' am I able to transfer these courses to CWRU? I have been accepted to Case, but I have not received a tranasfer evaluation even though I sent my college transcript in addition to my high school transcript.

Also, I have heard that they will not accept web-based courses?

I can’t find this policy on CWRU’s website, so I’m posting here, and we’ll look to get it online. First-year students receive a transfer credit evaluation over the summer before they schedule fall classes.

Case Western Reserve University Transfer Credit Policy

Students may receive credit by transfer from another accredited college, university, or technological institute in the United States or from institutions of higher education outside the United States under the following condition:

At the time of admission to Case Western Reserve University and upon presentation of an official transcript from each institution previously attended, credit will be awarded for courses equivalent or comparable to those offered by the university and completed with a grade of C or better. Any such courses taken prior to the students graduation from high school must be listed in the colleges catalog among courses offered for degree credit to the colleges undergraduates, taken in the company of matriculated college students, and organized and taught by college faculty.

In addition, to be considered for transfer credit, such courses must not have been used to fulfill high school graduation requirements.

The allocation of transfer credit is determined by the Office of Undergraduate Studies in consultation with the appropriate department.
