Take Gap Semester or Transfer Twice?

Alright, I'm in a bit of a situation here. I'm currently a semester behind already, so I just finished my sophomore year although I should technically be done with my first semester of Junior Year. I was enrolled in a Community College for 2.5 years and was accepted to a variety of schools for the Spring semester (Including a top 10 school). However, my first choice school only accepts transfers for the Fall semester, and I'm already done with CC and accepted to other schools.

Do you think it will negatively affect me if I attend the (Top 10) school and then from there apply to transfer as a first semester Junior to my first choice for the Fall semester? If it makes a difference, the school I'd be going to is ranked higher than the one I'm planning on transferring to.

My only other option is to defer my (Top 10) acceptance for a semester and either work/take classes at my CC and apply coming straight out CC again to my first choice school. The downside to this is that if I'm not accepted to my first choice school, I'd have lost a full semester and would now be behind a full year when I didn't have to in the first place - it's really only worth it to me to be behind a year if I can attend my top choice school where I'll enjoy the environment and surroundings more than my second choice (Top 10).

Thanks for your input.

I’m guessing upenn?

I would go to the Top 10 school you got into and be happy with that.
