Take me out to the ballgame 2022

Anyone here a baseball fan? I live outside Philly and it’s been a C-R-A-Z-Y week here, as the Phillies have outpunched their weight this post-season.

Condolences to any San Diego fans out there.

Yes, I’m waiting for the Yankees to finish their season and for Aaron Judge to sign a FA contract to join the SF Giants.

Longtime Padres fan. It was a good run. Congrats to Philly.

Native Houstonian…Love me some ASTROS!:blue_heart::orange_heart:

Yesterday was a tough day for all of us Padres fans. H and I had tickets for tonight’s playoff game, but it wasn’t meant to be. Congratulations to the Phillies and their fans (D2’s bf is from Philly). We will be rooting for them especially since they are a wildcard team just like our Padres.

Yes! Tough break for Padres fans, but I’m super excited for the Phillies. Philadelphia is our adopted city since our child attends college there; we’ve been rooting for Harper and the Phillies ever since. I registered us for the world series ticket lottery on a whim so fingers and toes crossed that we get the opportunity to purchase tickets.

Was pulling for the Padres but happy for Harper to get to the World Series. My son played against him in youth baseball. Back then he was physically a man among boys.

Phillies vs Astros. The Astros seem pretty strong, I guess the Phils will have to rely on momentum and Harper, and the home field crowd.

Tell me, during all the nationally broadcast games, they kept talking about how loud the crowd was, and how much it helps the team etc. And I could not help but notice the anemic rally towel waving of the Padres fans (apologies).

Isn’t EVERY home crowd loud? Doesn’t every home crowd get jacked up with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of an inning? Is Philly an anomaly?

yes! we live in Philly and it has been crazy. Our oldest daughter has been watching at Xfinity Live (which is across from the stadiums and sometimes the players will come over after a game:). They all flooded S. Broad Street after the big win. A lot of fun and watching guys climb the greased poles, lol.

Thrilled for the team and for the city. And, yes, the stadium gets incredibly loud. Friends who live in deep south philly can hear it blocks and blocks away.
