Take SAT again in the university to enhance my resume?

Hi everyone!

I am a intl student from China who is accepted by a university in Washington and will enroll in Sept. But unfortunately, I didn't get decent SAT scores through my only SAT experience. I notice that many companies esp. the Fortune 500s ask students' SAT scores as a supplemental document.

Here, my question is that if I retake SAT in the university in order to put the better scores in my future resume, will it help? or they only require my scores which are taken before enter the University?

Thank you all!

what exactly did you get?

Take the GRE.

Well, about 1200(cr+math). I know it’s a **** score.

You don’t deserve a job just for wanting to take the SAT again. No one cares about the SAT after high school. And it’s the truth. I know there might be 1-2 posters on here who will try to disagree with what I just said. But I know better.

Take the GMAT.

Retake your ERB’s too.

I don’t think I’ve ever been asked what my SAT score was post-HS…

Thank y’all for all the nice replies.
If I want to enter fortune 500 companies or even bulge brackets after graduated frm college, will my SAT scores be my block?
And if so, will the SAT scores taken when I am in college still be effective for the companies?
Thanks again for your patience.=]

No one really cares about your SAT once your in college. Quit stressing so much about it. Take Dawgies advice and go for the GMAT.

Chances are if the online app or whatever application you have is asking for SAT, it will have a GMAT box as well which is more highly regarded anyway.

As far as SAT’s go, mine were epic and I didn’t seem to do better with those that asked vs those that didn’t. Most didn’t. My guess is they don’t really care about your SAT’s in particular but might use them for statistics purposes internally.

Thank you all, esp. Dawgie for your patient replies.
U r really nice guys.
Still wanting sb. with similar experience here.

For the large majority of jobs, your sat wont matter at all

thats a good score
