Take SAT anyway?

<p>I'm currently a freshman at a CC in TX and want to transfer to NYU. I never took the SAT or the ACT, but am I still required to take it if I transfer after 2 years? If I don't, would I get a better chance of getting in if I did take the SAT?</p>
