<p>I know, I know. Before you say "more people apply to Irvine, that's why the admissions rate is lower" or "acceptance rates has no bearing on the school's reputationl", or "yeah, we're beating davis by .5%... which is like nothing" </p>

<p>More people applied to UCSB and we STILL have a lower acceptance rate. we were behind SB and Davis in admissions, but not this year. Idk why, but i feel proud.
Another reason to be a proud anteater. zot zot zot!</p>

<p>& what does this prove? Haha uci anteaters are the only ones who complain about their ranking every year. You dont see gaunchos or aggies complaining… And for the fact that im in highschool trying to get insights of each college while youre already in college still ■■■■■■■■ how good a particular uc is when ucd uci ucsb is ranked same. No wait from usnews davis and sb tied and uci was below. I dont think anyone will choose to become an anteater just for the fact that uci now has 45.5% acceptance rate… Hope this isnt the only thing youre proud of your school…</p>

  1. That’s why I said ANOTHER reason to be proud.
  2. UCD and UCSB don’t complain… and neither do we. we’re happy about the stats this year. the only complaining is coming from you.
  3. I’m starting UCI in the fall 2011, so I’m not flaunting my school as if I’m already a student there. I chose UCI over UCD and UCSB.
  4. I’m not saying UCI is better nor did I choose this school cuz of stats. It’s just a little thing called PRIDE.

<p>UCI is more popular than those two…therefore it’s harder to get in…but I don’t see how that’s something to be proud of necessarily…</p>
