Taking 2 ap tests in a day (any experiences?)

I found out that I have to take both the bio and physics AP test on the same day next year, and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences like that.

Is there ANY WAY to get out of that? (Like a retake day or something)

Or how bad is it?

Last year, there were two days in which I had to take two tests back-to-back. It really isn’t bad, but kind of annoying. Totally manageable, though.

There really is no way to get out of it, unless two of your tests conflict (they have to start at the same time, though). Or if one of the excuses posted on CB’s site pertain to you (sudden (documented) illness, etc…), you’ll be able to take a test on late test day. Otherwise, you’re kind of stuck taking both on the same day.

For us, on almost every day (except with the shorter AP exams, like psychology, micro/macro, etc) the first test ran past the start time for the second. The school will likely hold the test for you if that happens. But, with the timing issues, you probably won’t get much of a break in between.

All in all though, it really isn’t bad. Tedious, but you do get breaks in between the tests. Honestly, you’ll be so busy taking the tests that time passes pretty quickly.

Chemistry and Psych here

True. I’m just worried about the information absorption in general, like I would like to study for one of the subjects for the night then vice versa on the next day, but looks like I’ll have to do both :/

I took world history and microeconomics on the same day last year and was fine. The information absorption/confusion wasn’t a problem at all, and I got 5s on both tests. However, I can imagine my hand absolutely killing if I had US and then euro because of all of those essays.

You should be fine for bio and physics.

i took chem and psych too. my head was dead after all the grueling chem open ended… but luckily psych was so straightforward and out of the book it was a breeze.

@keasbey nights- I was one of those. and my hand DID hurt after all 6 of those essays. lol.

I guess I was lucky because US and Euro are both history, so I didn’t have to switch from one subject to another one that is completely unrelated, but yeah, taking 2 ap tests drains you. get sleep the night before! no cramming!

I’m doing Music Theory and Physics B on the same day this year. Talk about different parts of the brain. On second thought, not really.

My school does not allow you to take 2 AP tests in the same day. The last time they tried, people had to wait an hour for the person from a morning test to get there.

Seriously, are your proctors all that much faster? I have literally never finished an 8:00 AP test before noon…

omg,i am worried too.I have to take AP bio at my school, and then take AP physics at another school.Hope i will have enough time.

An experience I will be having on Friday, May 7: US History and European History.

I’m not worried because on Wednesday, after Calculus BC, I will be spending my time with AP US History. and on Thursday, no AP exam on that day, I will be spending my time with European History.

And what to worry about with AP Biology and AP Physics, you got Friday, Saturday, and Sunday–enough time to prep.

Chemistry and Psychology
Eng Lang and Art History <— my death sentence

^oh wow, two ap exams/day in two days in a row. That would be hell.

=[

I’m in the same situation next year.

I have APES & AP Psych this year on a same day.
I don’t think it’s manageable since those exams are short.

Don’t worry about it. I’m taking 3 in one day and I have to move from one school to another to take each test. :</p>

Actually, I mean it is manageable.
I hate typos!

^what?

isn’t “it’s” the contraction of “it is”?

What are you trying to say: “It is manageable” or “It is not manageable”?

My typo was when I say I don’t think. It should have been I think.
Sorry for the confusion.
