As for those users who are entering UC Berkeley this fall, I recommend that you take a break from CC as well because the "negative vibe" on this forum may prove detrimental to your first year college experience because you are developing some sort of negative impression that may hinder your future enjoyment. Yes, a very long sentence. Yes, you can argue against what I have said, but that is my opinion and advice.</p>

<p>That's why there should be more recipe threads (and happy threads in general). Let's make a more happy, welcoming forum that is still able to disucss important ideas. I do agree with your post, though. Adios for now.</p>

<p>I need to decrease my activity too. But if I do I end up playing games. CC is, as strange as it is to say, the lesser of two evils.</p>

<p>I still really like Berkeley despite this forum. I like reading about students' takes on the place. I like what you propose, DRab.</p>

<p>I have been taking a break, forced partially because of the demands of the last few weeks of school and also because it was taking too much of my time. I understand what you mean by the "negative vibe" but I haven't found that to be anything that has bothered me. I find Berkeley's threads to be much more stimulating because of the debates that are not just on the surface, the positive and the negative alike.
