Taking AP classes online?

I'm currently a freshman and I am planning to take AP Biology and AP US History online next year. It's my school's first time offering AP classes so I was excited that they're finally offering it. I am highly motivated and I do very well in school. But, my counselor says that taking two AP classes at the same time is too much especially because no freshman at my school has ever taken two AP classes at the same time before. She wants me to pick just one between the two classes. I think I am ready for the responsibilities. I know the consequences if I don't do well. I am confident that I will do very well with those two classes. I have a plan. During my free time, I had researched about the e-school that I will be attending. I also e-mailed the instructors of both classes about questions about their teaching. During the summer, I plan to read about both subjects in order to prepare for each class.

What do you think I should do? :(

out of those ap bio would be the most difficult online as it is quite extensive, can you take AP BIO at your school?

My school isn’t offering any AP classes yet. They’re only offering one AP class (i’m not sure what it was) to current AVID students next year which is unfair. I did sign up for it but I was denied because my parents went to college. My school does offer Honors Biology which is what I signed up for during the registration.

You were denied because your parents WENT to college? I don’t understand that?

AVID is a program for students who really need help getting into college. They are very selective. So they probably thought I didn’t need help preparing for college because my parents went to college. When in fact, I needed more help! My mom doesn’t really know how the U.S. education system works since we just moved here. Then, my dad is currently in another country so he’s really busy. I don’t have anyone to talk to. There was an interview for it last December and I wasn’t prepared. It’s too late for me to tell them all those things now.

i think you should just take one of them. At my school, APUSH is the hardest AP and AP Bio is also one of the hardest. Most people start off with easier AP’s before trying such hard ones.

Thanks for your thoughts!

What if I take both AP Biology and Honors Biology at the same time? Honors at school and AP online. I believe Honors Biology will help me with AP Bio because CollegeBoard recommends students to take a Biology class first. :3

Also, my e-school also offers AP Statistics, English Language & Composition, Chemistry, World History and Art History. That’s all they’re offering next year. How would you rank them from easiest to hardest? :3

If I were you, I would take APUSH and honors bio, and AP Bio the year after. You might be learning stuff in AP Bio that you haven’t learned in your honors bio class. But I haven’t taken AP Bio so I don’t really know much about it.

Stats, Lang, World, Chem.
I have no idea about Art History.

Thanks, I’ll do that! (:
