Taking AP exams in spring of senior year?

I am a current homeschooled senior. I take mostly DE courses from a local community college, but I am taking AP US History and AP Latin online. In May when AP exams are offered, I will already be committed to a college. Are there any benefits for a senior to take the AP exams after being admitted to a college? I don’t think I will be eligible for any other college credits by reporting these exam scores (I would expect 4s or 5s). At some colleges, I already would be receiving some credit for other AP courses in similar subjects and I know my DE credits will transfer in.

As a homeschooler, I will need to alert my school district soon if I plan on taking the AP exams with them again this year. I’d rather not pay the fees and endure the aggressive studying for exams if I don’t have to.

Thanks!

I would check very carefully at the schools where you applied to see how they manage AP credit. My D didn’t take APGov exam because she didn’t think she would be given credit for it, and she was wrong.
