Taking AP Exams Senior Year

This is probably a dumb question, but I just wanted to double check... We don't have to take AP Exams senior year right? Even if we listed them on our Common App with score TBD?

I was accepted Princeton EA and will not be using any of my APs for credit/placement so I wasn't going to spend the money on them. Is this okay? Do you still need to take them?

You shouldn’t have to take them, as they won’t have accepted you on the basis of your AP scores. However, it might be worth shooting them an email to check whether they’re expecting you to take them. I don’t see why the financial burden should be required if you’re not going to be using them for anything. Your AP grades should say plenty about how you’re doing academically.

YellowDaisies: Just make sure to check with your school about their policies. At my high school, it is mandatory that we take the AP exam. If for some reason we don’t, we lose credit for the course.
