Taking AP tests in college?

Right now I'm having trouble registering for my Calc I class this fall, which I'll really need in order to take Calc II this spring, so I can declare econ as a double major when I transfer next year. UCB offers online calc classes through their extension program but the econ department does not accept them as fulfilling the requirement.

So I was thinking I could take the online classes and then take the AP tests so I could get credit. Am I elligible to take AP tests even though I'm not in high school? I know you are allowed to take AP tests without taking the AP class, but I can't find information on whether there is an age limit.

The answer is no, you cannot take a AP test anymore, doesn’t matter if there’s a age limit or not, it is administered by the high school itself (its not like the SAT’s where you go to a random place to take). Besides its too late for transfers, the AP score you noted in your Application was the only time you had the chance to report.

AP Test are for high school students, not college student (think about it)

Well, judging from your previous posts because you are a high school drop out you may be able to enrol back into a high school for a semester and take the AP classes for the test. Now if this is necessarily efficient is a completely different story. I do think though, that if it is a major prerequisite it will look better on your application if you have an A in that class versus a 5 on the AP test as im pretty sure it counts but only as a P.

Hey look up CLEP it allows you to get college credit.

UCs do not accept CLEP credits.
