Taking AP's advice

Hello!

I'm a future grade ten student in ontario that's in the pre-IB program.

I want to take AP courses but I rather take IB. However I found out you can self study AP. Can someone please explain how this process works. Thanks!

OK, AP courses are basically college level courses, but the tests are easy enough to study for, There are a number of court guides and review books available for AP courses, often the review books are more helpful than the textbook, or even the teacher if you have a truly awful teacher. AP tests also cost around 85 USD, so you pay the amount it would be in Canadian Dollars to pay for 85 USD (I believe Canada has the same test cost as the US). AP tests are not as internationally recognised and are generally considered a bit easier than IB.
