Hey! For the winter term I'm thinking of taking both Econ 101 and Econ 102. Is that do-able?

Is there a reason you need to do this ? Personally i heard both classes are competitive since these are the Ross weed out courses personally i would take them in different semesters unless you have take to take them together.

Don’t take 102 until after you take 101. 102 is an incredibly difficult class and without 101 it will be much harder to understand.

I would recommend 101 first term and 102 the next. The best combo is 102 with 310 (M&B) and 395 (Int’l Econ). You will only have to study for 102 for the final since 102 will cover all materials.

They are both really easy classes, given that both have no real assignments. All you need to do is cram before the 3 exams. The rest of the school year is a breeze.

The quizzes are a non-material part of your grade (it was like 10% when I took it, if even that) so you don’t even have to bother. Just aim for 90%+ in your exams and you’d still get an A even if you get all 0s on the quizzes (that was my strategy for 102).

Kyle is grossly exaggerating the “difficulty” of these classes. I put difficulty in quotes because both classes are not difficult at all.

^The correct interpretation you should take from our disagreement is that the difficulty of the classes varies by person. The general consensus on campus though is that 101 is easier than 102 and 102 is easier if taken after 101.
