I'm start at Michigan in the winter and at my previous school I finished the Econ 102 equivalent. All Econ classes require Econ 101, but I'd rather not take it. Since I have 102 do you think I'll be able to take upper level classes such as Econ 340?

Enforced Requirements: Econ 101
Advised Requirements: Econ 102 (unless 101 w/ B or better)

Thanks

As a transfer I can tell you this is probably going to be a pain in the butt, but yes you will need to take econ 101. The department is very strict about it and econ 101 is much more important for any upper level econ class than 102. You might get away with being able to take 401 if you are a junior transfer rather than 101. But, let me warn you that is the class that most minors or majors decide that they no longer like econ as much. One important thing to look at is whas your Econ 102 class macro or micro because some schools its reversed from UM. The key is u will need to take econ 101, i.e. microeconomics before u can take a higher level
