What is your opinions on this? It may be possible for me to start taking graduate classes as an undergrad. I am majoring in Sociology but plan to go back to graduate school to obtain a degree in disaster and emergency relief management. I have a 3.4 GPA and I am also in an Honor’s Society at my school. Has anyone taken graduate classes as an undergrad?
Check your catalog. There may be classes which are open to students who are either upper division or graduate. You do need to be accepted by the graduate program at your school so that you can earn graduate credit. If you just sign up for these classes, they may be warded undergraduate credit. Please check first on how to register for classes and receive graduate credit.
Yes, it can be possible. Talk to your academic adviser.
I already talked to the woman who runs the graduate program. She e-mailed me today and told me I am able to start taking graduate classes for next semester
I did it myself. One thing to bear in mind is depending on your school/program, graduate credits may not count towards your required undergraduate hours/requirements.
