Taking Languages out of order

I am going to be taking Chinese online next year. However, the two chinese classes that I am interested in are Chinese V ap and Chinese 4 honors. I have fairly good chinese, I am half chinese and I know that both classes are easy A's. As a sophomore now, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to take chinese V first next year because it will count into my GPA when I apply to colleges and affect my class rank and then take chinese 4 when I am a senior. Or would it be better to just take them in order even though it would slightly lower my gpa, by taking chinese 4 next year and then chinese V senior year.

Thanks for your help

…why would you take them out of order? take the ap next year and don’t take a foreign language senior year.

how many foreign language credits do most schools want.
I have 1 credit for spanish from middle school and 2 for chinese.
I don’t have any for high school.
is it okay if i only have one foreign langauge credit for high school?

most schools want at least three years of the same language. not sure how theyd feel if you already knew the language and did well on an AP though.
