So, I've taken 4 AP classes (my four core curriculum classes), band, and German both my sophomore and junior year. Now, I'm down to 3 AP classes because I don't have a language class to take, and band and German don't come in AP flavors. That's 8 total, all 5's, so I know the stuff. But will colleges see me as someone who is slacking off their senior year?

I think it's fine, honestly.

Don't worry about it! :-D

Holy crap, don't worry about it. Colleges will know how many AP's your school has, along with the fact that you've taken the most challenging ones.

8 Aps = community college.

Well there are more AP classes for me to take.. but I'm required to take the four core subjects (3 of which are AP, the last is independent study since I ran out) and my foreign language (not available in AP) and band (not available in AP). So basically, I could take classes like Micro/Macro instead of Band if I wanted more APs. But do I want more APs?

lol, Drew00. I think its fine personally.

It's fine.

actually I'm taking more APs this year and I'm dying since so many unexpected things is going on now... Never thought of retaking SAT, so many apps to do, etc.

i took 4 last year and im taking 3 this year, solely because they won't offer me spanish literature ap cause i was the only junior in ap spanish last year, so in turn im dropping down a few levels to spanish 4 honors and im taking french 1 advanced. kinda exciting. im hoping colleges understand my situation.

There is no quota to meet on AP classes. They want to see that GENERALLY, you are challenging yourself. You are challenging yourself whether you take 3 AP classes or 4.

I doubt it; I ran out and have less to take... =/

relax you're fine, they don't expect you to go beyond the limits of your school in the subjects you're taking

you aren't slacking if you have several APs, and you shouldn't be taking APs just to say oh look it's an AP

if they had an AP class in "Lame-ness" there would be people who would take it just because it's an AP, and what do you think the college would think of that? This kid got a 5 in Lame-ness, this one took band and German. Hmm they're more interesting so let's take student #2

Why the long make-no-sense post? Because I'm procrastinating on my AP English essay! My apologies : )

Suggestion: take the AP german test anyway at end of senior year. You may test out of language in college and receive lots of credit. It won't matter if you do not do well as you will already have accepted admissions somewhere.Everything to gain....$84 to lose.

Yea I might go for the AP German test.. it's real hard though I hear.. like SUPER HARD, the hardest AP test ever created!

LOL....yeah, it's hard but I hear it's way easier than the SATII german test!
