My school only accepts 15 (fifteen :() CLEP credits.

I plan on taking more for grad school purposes, not just to test out of any courses. I want to prove to grad schools that I can think on my own since ultimately CLEP exams are self-study.

Anyways, do you think grad schools will be impressed if I send them a transcript of my CLEP exams? I plan on taking 3 more CLEP exams (9 credits) worth beyond what my school will take (fifteen).

Many accredited graduate programs in health care will not even accept AP course credit, which are much more well known than CLEP. No matter what your intended grad school program is – I encourage you to choose the 2-3 to which you believe you are most likely to apply, and ask them in advance if they accept undergraduate pre-reqs taken via CLEP. Good luck!

mboynton has a good point. Always check with the ending point college to see if credit-by-exam (CBE) is accepted. It depends on the college and the degree program. There are MBA programs that accept CLEP for prereqs. Looks like health care is another story…
