Taking more CLEP exams than school will accept

My school only accepts 15 (fifteen :() CLEP credits.

I plan on taking more for grad school purposes, not just to test out of any courses. I want to prove to grad schools that I can think on my own since ultimately CLEP exams are self-study.

Anyways, do you think grad schools will be impressed if I send them a transcript of my CLEP exams? I plan on taking 3 more CLEP exams (9 credits) worth beyond what my school will take (fifteen).

Grad schools don’t care about your CLEP test results. They don’t even request them as part of your grad school application. They want to see a strong undergrad GPA, awesome professor recs, solid GRE test score, and research experience.

Instead of taking CLEP tests, focus on your GPA and the other things I mentioned above.

Just do what your school will take.
