I will be a senior in the fall and I am debating about whether or not I should take the ACT again in September. So far, I have taken the ACT three times and have gotten the scores 29, 29 and 31 (35E, 28M, 34E, 27S), with the 31 coming from the June 2014 test. At the university I would like to attend, they offer $8,000 additional merit aid if you score a 32+. Would it be worth it to take again just to get the additional aid or is a 31 good enough to call it quits? Also, FYI I have never taken the SAT, so the only standardized test scores on my transcript are the three ACT scores.

Hey I have a similar situation. I’m debating whether or not to take it in September and I’m your age as well. I think it wouldn’t hurt. There’s nothing bad that can come from it and you can delete your scores. Worst case scenario you get a score you are unhappy with and then you delete it. A 31 is a good score but maybe with a lot of rest and just brushing up on material, you could hit that 32 if not even higher!
