Taking the act

I have not taken the act nor have I taken a practice of it. I don’t have any review books because i didn’t sign up early enough. I was wondering, is the act hard? What’s the best way to prepare myself for it?

For me it was much easier than the SAT. I got a 33 on it doing half a practice test the day before. The questions are more straightforward (the math ones especially) and the vast knowledge of vocabulary isn’t necessary: the English questions will just ask you about sentence syntax and mistakes in them.
The science section is supposedly easy, but in the test itself it was harder than I thought.

My recommendation:
If you are a good test taker, do 1 or 2 practice tests before the exam. Get them online or maybe your library has a copy of the red book and you can make some photocopies.
However, if you do not consider yourself an outstanding test taker do several practice tests.

Familiarize yourself with the science questions and go over the math (since it includes higher level math). The best way to be the best at anything is by practicing!

So me not being the best test taker and I’m not very good at pacing myself how would you prepare for critical reading? that’s my weakest subject

From what I’ve heard, the ACT is super easy. My cousin scored a 35 lol. Just take a practice test and you’ll do fine. Yolo.

Easy and Hard are relative terms and mean different for different people. You should go to ACT web site and take a practice test and see where you stand and how much effort you need. Also what is your goal, whether you want to score 28 or 35, will define how much work is needed when comparing them against your first practice test.
