Are there benefits for taking an SAT early in the school year? What I mean by that is, do colleges appreciate someone who does well/takes an SAT early in the school year rather than someone who does well on a June or May, or even January SAT? Also, what about not taking the SAT in Junior year and only taking it during Senior year?

I don’t think colleges really care what month you take it in. I would just take it toward the end of the year so you can utilize what you learned during the year.

I think the best option is to take the SAT in junior year, but your 2nd attempt (if applicable) can be in either junior or senior year. This works out so you have at least the summer before senior year to complete a thorough college search, which is important because SAT scores can drastically change the type of colleges that you will be looking at.

Colleges don’t care when you take it. They just care about the score. I made the mistake of waiting to take the SAT until June of my junior year. Now I have to fit in retaking the SAT and taking subject tests into the stressful fall of my senior year while I’m worrying about applications. So I recommend getting your testing done earlier rather than later!

No it’s impossible.
