I'm thinking of applying to Pratt or RISD for Industrial Design, but at the same time, I want to take all Pre-req courses just in case something goes wrong with my primary major. I heard that RISD has a strong relationship with Brown. I'm not even sure if Pratt or RISD alone offer those courses. Do you think that it is possible for me to take those courses and at the same time get my degree in ID? I also heard about the Brown RISD Dual Degree. Does that have anything to with my need? I'm really confused right now so please help me.

you need to get accepted to both school in order to do the dual degree. And based on my research, RISD is hard enough already, so you will probably end up 5 years studying at both schools. I want to major in Industrial Design too and I am also doing research. Contact me if you have anything news! all the information for Brown and RISD dual degree is on RISD’s website. If you want to do industrial design I might suggest you to try for the stanford program even though some said its mostly base on engineering.
