I completely agree. Generally those who are taller possess a certain quality that either fills the room or a ca Manding quality. Taller people also usually receive more respect. Therefore it would make sense that those who are successful in terms of millions of dollars are generally tall.

I met a really short guy the other day, like five feet tall I’d guess. He’s 20 years old, drives a Mustang and has a pretty hot (albeit very neurotic girlfriend).

People seem to confuse the statement “correlation does not imply causation” with “correlation precludes causation.”

Of course, being tall is itself a huge advantage in society. No one even needs an empirical study to prove that. However, I still think that being physically attractive is a far bigger advantage.

well I guess Napoleon alone demolishes this whole theory

I have shopped for jeans, pain in the ass when you are tall and skinny. We have gotten to the point where jean makers just assume everyone is fat I guess. Getting shoes is pretty bad too when you have big feet.

The correlation is not causation thing definitely applies. I personally think that it’s actually due to a correlation between height and confidence, and the confidence in effect leads to success. However, that’s just my personal belief based on empirical, biased “evidence” that I’ve seen in my life; by no means is this scientifically sound.

Napoleon and Nicolas Sarkozy may be short, but they are undoubtedly extremely confident people.
