I’m going the 16th. Anyone else? Post Here!

I'm going on the sixth...

have ya'll gotten anything about Talons day yet? I haven't received anything about it. Well, they mentioned it in my invitation for the Elite Scholarship, but I haven't received any actual Talon day info.

i got a small card in the mail with ID-type info to sign up.

was there any kind of schedule? I am trying to decide if I am going to go to the Presidential Scholars day or for Talons. I can only afford to go once, so I am kind of stuck. I don't want to plan to go to Presidential scholars day and then find out I need to go for an interview for the elite scholarships which is the day before Talons. Ugh, this stuff stinks.

Also, I want to try and schedule some class visits and meetings with the director of the school I am applying too, but I need to know the Talons day schedule before I can do that.

TALONS Schedule

did u want that, or the dates, which are the 2nd, 9th, and 16th of Feb

I got something in the mail about it but didnt really read it. What is TALONS? Is it good to go to if you're not sure if Auburn is the school for you?

wheeeeee

Thanks for the talons schedule link. I saw that before, but thought that was a "general" schedule, not the "actual" schedule of what is going to take place on the 16th. But I am sure it will probably be something like that. my plan is to hopefully be a finalist for the elite scholarship and interview on the 15th and attend talons on the 16th.

I guess since I have my auburn userid I can probably go ahead and register for it even though I haven't gotten anything for it yet.

As I understand, Talons Day is for students who will attend Auburn on academic scholarships. You are treated as honored guests and you will meet many who will be your contemporaries if you attend.

suziechapstik, go to talons day on the 6th! ha, jk, that's when i'm going. when's the presidential day? i'm pretty sure the talons days are on the 2nd, 6th, and 16th. maybe the presidential thing is the day before or after a talons day. that would be logical anyways..

pearljam, presidential scholars day is on 1/23 which is why I can't do both. If I was in state, I would do both, but it's just too much to come that far twice when I still have lots of other schools to see

suzie, I would do the presidential scholars day, since that is a bit more "prestigious" than a normal talons day. You will do many of the same things at these two things anyway, so there would be no need to go to both. If you have any questions about the elite scholarships and any required interviews, I recommend calling the scholarship office (334)8447570, M-F 7:45-11:45, 12:45-4:45 Central time.

AUlostchick that is what I thought too. However, I cannot afford to come down twice. If I came for presidential scholars day, which is on the 23rd and then I am chosen for an interview for the elite scholarships, which would be on the 15th, I wouldn't be able to make it. So, unless I am missing something, I don't really see where I have a choice.

in that case, would probably call and ask whoever is in charge and see if they can help. every time i've needed a question answered they've been very helpful. good luck though!

I've signed up to go to the Talons Day on the 6th.

Bumpppppppppppppp

I'll be there on the 6th. See you guys there!

I haven't signed up yet....maybe going on the 16th.

Any other 6'ers?

That was kind of boring.
