TAMS Class of 2022 Waitlist

I’ve been designated an “alternate” for the Class of 2022 and I was wondering what I should do?

To be honest, the only thing you can really do is wait it out. If you win any awards or have any big achievements, then tell TAMS, and it might move you up on the wait list, but don’t stress about that. My old roommate was put on the wait list and then got accepted a month before school started. She didn’t get her choice in math class because Cal 1 was full already, but she did get in.

How is your standardized score like? If you can increase it by a significant margin, consider retaking that test and send them to TAMS.

@ViveLaChina would a 1440 to a 1500 make a big difference to the TAMS committee? Is it worth it? I heard it isn’t good to take the SAT multiple times badly because it looks bad to colleges.

Should I send my updated grades if they are better than the ones I submitted on my application? I don’t think I will have any new major accomplishments by May.

I in earnest doubt if 1500 is a bad grade; additionally I believe you don’t have to send every SAT score you have taken to universities. However, I do not have any conclusive idea on how the increase of SAT scores affect TAMS admission, unfortunately.

I think you should, there is not really any harm to update them advancements you make. You can usually email some admissions faculty for that.

Sorry I forgot to check if people replied or not. My SAT was a 1330 and I know that’s low but I really think that’s more about the test than me, I’m take BC Calculus right now, WHAP, Physics 1, and I’m self-studying Psychology. The grades were all low to high A’s when I sent them. I think I did well in my interview but I haven’t heard anything yet. I think I’ll be fine either way, I got accepted to the CNA program at school and it’ll be a lot of fun if I don’t get accepted.

Just a heads up I did get accepted and I start next week!!
