I graduate high school this spring and really hope to attend Texas A&M at Corpus Christi. What are my chances of getting in? My stats are:
-3.3 GPA
-1310 (SAT)
-19 (ACT)
I didn’t score very well and I’m afraid these scores might ruin my chances of getting in, though these were my first and only tests/scores as I am out of waivers and was unable to take both of my first tests. I suppose I might have a slight advantage as I took/am currently taking college courses at my local college (early college program) and I will graduate with my Associates degree as well as my diploma. However I’m not sure that this will help my case too much based on my scores, and whether I should just retake them and then apply once they come in?
You don’t meet the minimum requirement for automatic admission so the chances are pretty low;however, you might be able to get conditionally admitted and then go from there;however, if you’re willing to apply as a transfer student you have a much better shot assuming you have that 3.3 in college too.
Overall, I’d recommend applying as a transfer student and I think you’ll get in.
