TAP

On my cunyfirst I didn’t see my Actual TAP on pending aid. I went to figure out why and they told me I had to get a letter from the art department saying that at least one of those classes is going towards my major. Those classes are prerequisites. I’m an art education major so studio classes are required, so technically is a double major. And in order to fulfill 200-300 courses in studio art I have to take prerequisites.
Once I did that they told me to come back within two week. I still didn’t see any change so once I went back and they sent me to the financial aid office and they kept telling me that those two classes are electives and doesn’t go towards my major. But they are trying to figure out if they do. Without those two classes I have 9 credits that fulfill my mayor. Since its going to be a long process I was wondering if adding another class that goes straight to my major will help me get TAP? That way ill have 12 credit fulfilling my major. Will keeping the two “elective” classes jeopardize my Financial Aid or TAP (if i get it)?

Thanks!
