Some black guy once said, "You better never play hide and seek in the dark with a black man...because all he has to do is shut his eyes and close his mouth and you'll never find him!"

Hm, so in a return to the topic of the thread...=]

Did I mess up too badly if I just realized that I haven't gotten my transcript + letter of recommendation sent yet? You see...I thought it meant that the entire application was due on the 22, and none of that "should be mailed by the 15th" nonsense.

If you're mailing in your application, then you're SUPPOSED to include them with your app, yes.

It's online if you're applying online that you'd have to send them in by the 15th; the admissions office was pretty lenient about this date, though.

lol, taggart, you're applying as well? i guess you didn't obey your school either when they said "you must attend governor's school if accepted!" i'd seriously choose tasp over gov school anyday, though... sigh.

Why don't they have gov school in california :/

Anyway, I am off to go buy my teacher a thank you present. Have to be fast so I can come home and do homework; though if I can't find anything at Target I plan on ordering her Rubik's Cube stickers online :)

Hmm, I'm half-and-half. My mom wants me to apply for RIT too, but I'll sabotage my application one way or another. I'm not too much of a science person. Perhaps I'm as good at sounding dispassionate as I'm competent at the opposite.

I'm applying because I figured out that I liked writing these essays. =] On the off chance that I get accepted to both, I'd probably cry in joy. I'm not sure which one I'd pick.

i put in so much more effort into these essays than i did for my governor school essays......... even though it was mainly the art that counted. but i'm with you; if i were to get accepted at both places, it would be the best dilemma i could ever ask for. even though i'd still choose tasp. lol.

Oh crap...I never realized I had to have them in by the 15th. Should I go ahead and send the recs and transcripts tomorrow even though they're late, or cram to finish up my essays and send the whole thing in on Monday?

they said one or two days late is fine, but if you send it out tomorrow, they'll probably receive the application on monday at the earliest.

btw billy_liar, we were listening to billy liar during art today (on my new ihome, yay)! and right afterwards "bandages bandages" started playing, and my teacher suddenly goes "WAIT. he's not saying 'benadryl benadryl'???"

ahhhhhh hot hot heat. d'you know that song "you owe me an iou"? i looooove that song to deeaaaath.

Are you going to be satisfied with your essays? I sent them an e-mail just then. I'll post what they say once they respond.

Haha, I'm not considering RSI at all. I'm just not that sort of girl. My ex, on the other hand -- he's been doing science project competitions since...7th grade? Crazy guy. =]
