I'm definetly applying to tasp..it sounds amazing
Is anyone else thinking of applying?

I am going to apply. I doubt I would get accepted, but it's worth a shot, right?

Definitely applying also. :) Did you guys see this years seminar topics? They are posted on the site.

Thanks for letting us know. I just checked them out, and they look very interesting :)

Yeah, they are interesting. :) Which one do you think you'd like to attend most? Can't say too much ofcourse, since they haven't posted the full description.

I'll apply to the one at UTexas- Austin. It sounds pretty cool and I love the science aspect. I'm kind of disappointed that they dont have a more science/engineering oriented program though.

Oh and do they care about EC's. I know that your essays count a lot, but do they judge on ecs more than merit?

Well you can't really chose which one you will apply to I think. You just have to apply to the whole program, and in one essay you can express which program you would like to attend the most, however at the end, they will split up the students into the seminars, and sometimes I hear you won't always get your first choice.

There is a small section to put EC's and activities I believe. Not sure how much they are weighted though. Its a good question I'd like an answer to also. :D

oh well thanks for that info in itself. The website doesn't really say very much.

I'm applying :) The process sounds so rigorous!

I know! what r u all writing ur essays on?

I loved it!
Every single student on earth should apply to TASP,
Not only because of the academic challenege you will be getting, but also because of the social experience, and of course THE RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING FOOD!

The one at WashU sounds amazing...

You think so? I'm not quite sure what it's about.. what do you think?

I like the St. Louis one and the Michigan one. "Race Space and the Self" or something like that? What does "space" mean in context?

I'm a WashU 06 TASPer and I can say for a fact that the WashU TASP next summer is going to be phenomenal. One of the professors gave a talk for us this summer and he's really an amazing man. Plus, St Louis is a really rundown city, perfect for any kind of study in the rise and fall of American cities. lol. i never thought I'd say st. louis' decrepitness was a good thing, but there you go.

I wonder what it is exactly about, did he give you any explanation vegan girl? It sounds interesting... and from what you said it's going to be basically a study of urban/metropolitan life?

I also find International Politics, and the Race, Space and the American self interesting. I also wonder what "race" really means.

Also, can you list any essays or articles that you have read (that are not in paricularly any magazine)? Does it have to be just books and magazines?

I think I'm going to apply. The program sounds amazing! I hope they put up the course descriptions soon. :)

wow the st. louis one sounds really cool
although international politics sounds good too..
i heard u often get ur second choice?
