Tasp 2007

Chinese Canadian?! OH MY GOD YOU ARE GAWWY! lmao, jk. He was at my TASP and he was CC too. Oooh, CCer on CC. I'm easily amused.

Aw, little fat kids! XD

Corey, your picture is so suggestive.

THIS BOARD IS ON FIRE! APIANIPEg. I gotta stop. I must write an essay.

OH, I already sent in the Swarthmore one about 2 hours ago, so hee-hee, college is done. And I got an email saying I got into UMich, so woo for good news. You know what I need from you guys? Wishes of good luck for me in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. I'm submitting some photography (and a portfolio) and waaaaah. Wish me luck.

Okay, my hand is tingly and numb-esque, so I'm out.
I popped some medication for my allergy/cold thing and it's making me a little sleepy. AGAIN.

Haha no it will not.

The thing is, I don't really have that many conflicts in my life (I feel). I don't fight with other people, for sure. Internally, well I never really waver that much because I just do things impulsively and choose recklessly. I've never really had the whole "to do or not to do" thing go on, I, um, just flip a coin :P and do whatever the coin tells me to do, pretty much. :D

And as for the topic essay, I don't know what to talk about. I wanted to talk about something, but my book report ended up coinciding too much :/ so now I no longer know what to do.

I rant a lot on CC, I have decided.

congraaaaaaaaaaaatttttssssssssssssss aida. =)

Yes Chinese Canadian pwnage.

We are rare in the Asian-American world of today.

Good luck Aida! I have faith in you :]

And congrats on Michigan.

I know at least two Chinese Canadians... probably more haha.

But then compare that to the number of Asian-Americans you know....

Yes. See, I win :)

haha true. If I know somebody Canadian, chances are he or she is also Chinese :D

Really?

Well that's just because you live the Bay Area :D

I used to be the only Chinese kid in my class (and school - maybe one or two others). Yep. That's right. Only Asian kid, in fact.

canadian bubble tea is AMAZING! haha i just had to say that.

i'm doing my conflict on procrastination, though it will probably be difficult to pull off. XD

OHH that's smart. I should steal that idea :D

I mean, I was thinking the same thing, thewu! What a coincidence :P

HMM do you think this would count as a conflict:
Having to decide between:
- listening to a friend pour out his/her woes
- studying for a very important test which may cost you your grade

LOL that's kind of sad. But it does tie in with my other essays...

GRR I HATE CONFLICTS

you could talk about how you're having a conflict right now trying to think of one. :)

i think the listening one is pretty good. studying... unless you have a dilemma, i'm not quite sure, at least from my point of view.

i wanted to talk about cheaters but that just ended up being a page and a half of ranting. -_-

I think constructive ranting is ok.

hmm

i did my critnal on an excerpt...

how am i supposed to let the tasp reader know what was included in this excerpt? =/

Haha, no having to decide between the two. It's either listen to a friend and probably fail the test, or blow off the friend and ace the test.

Does that count as a conflict? I don't know if I really want to do that though. Hmm.

^^ Perhaps I could. It'd probably end up being somewhat presumptuous though, and I don't know if I would really want to write it even though it would probably turn out decently.

awww... and I was having so much fun with writing my other one. haha

p45510n - I think you can include a copy of your excerpt if you're mailing it in. Or just call them and ask.

tako - ohhh that's pretty tough. Yeah i think it would be a good topic to use! haha I had a hard time coming up with a topic too. I think I started about two topics before finally deciding on the one I'm doing now.

Haha only asian in your clas Tako. That sa funny thought around here. Even though I know alot of places where that is true :-/. ITs sort of wierd since we adopted my sister from china no one thinks thats a big deal here, but alot of the other girls adopted at the same time went back to towns where they will be one of the only asian girls in their respective communities. ITs sad :-( But then at the same time my school is .01% African American

Who knows.

Congrat Aida!

DJ I guess I dont know you. Actuary sounds hella interesting. Actually maybe I want to be an actuary. :-P

What is this bubble tea. I think of illegal things, or I think of milk tea, or I think of bubble parties. hmmm

My critnal is on a 5 page section on a book and I only provided a 2 line quote. Just capture the essence. :D

here's an example of bubble tea:
http://www.teamuse.com/images/bubble_tea_3.jpg

basically it's just milk tea with tapioca. Some places have some pretty weird flavors (rose flavored which contains petals and leaves...)

I think i should get started on my essays again... even though this is the only break i've had all week. XD

lol tapioca express status.

I had no idea that was Canadian. Around here that is synonymous with asian. (Tako you know what I mean....Tapioca Express) :0P
